the "after college" life
Dec 16th

i’m am done with school and could be considered a college graduate! even though i won’t walk until may, i still have the sticker on the back of my jeep that says i am a chowan college ALUMNI. i tell you what, the college years flew by and i’m sure there will come a time when i wish i could go back and be a college student again.
so now i’m into the “after college” life. i feel like i should be taking it easy because its christmas “break,” but i guess its not necessarily a “break” for me. i have to be a big kid now and pay big kid bills. so i’ve just been doing some small random freelance projects for the past few days. i have enjoyed it very much. i get to work on stuff that i enjoy all day. techie stuff! no more management, biology, or english, praise God. home life is different, but i’m sure i will adjust in a short time.
i can’t wait until tomorrow! my family and magan’s family are getting together for dinner tomorrow night in greensboro. nothing like two crazy families getting together for dinner. then i’ll be going back to k-town with magan to spend some time with her. its been a long three weeks since i’ve seen her and i’m looking forward to hanging out with my bestest bud. we’ll be going to charlotte bobcats game on saturday night to help with all the other pwt. should be a lot of fun.
until my next post, take it easy, stay warm, beware of static electricity, and of course eat christmas tree cakes…matt
the last days
Dec 11th
hay hay everybody. i’m in my last days of chowan. its sunday and i will be out of here in 24 hours. the only thing i have left to do schoolwise is a portfolio review tomorrow morning at 10:30am. after that my parents will be here to help me move out and it will be goodbye chowan and fuquay here i come.
i’ve enjoyed my last week at chowan very much. i got to hang out with my friends more this past week than i did most of the semester. we watched movies including hostage, criminal, saw, the dukes of hazzard, and last night i met up with erasto in chesapeake to see the chronicals of narnia. i also played a lot of video games this past week and if you know me very well, i have to be completely bored out of my mind to play video games, but me and donald played a lot of midnight club 3 DUB EDITION! two of the whitest people you’ll meet, dubbing out cars, trucks, and SUV’s like we’re ghetto. i also spent some time updating all my websites and working on the hawaii dvd.
the picture at the top of the post was taken this morning on my way to church. every week i got to see a beatiful sunrise as i headed to church. this week i took my camera and tried to capture it. oh chowan, i’m gonna miss this place a little, but i know God’s got big plans ahead of me.

made it through the weekend
Dec 5th
welp, i made it through another weekend here at chowan. it was rather boring, but i can’t complain because i was able to get a lot of work down. i tied down all the loose ends to the assignments that i have left for school. i also got to work on some projects that i haven’t worked on in awhile. i updated my www.mattkeith.net site, i designed myself a business card that i can pass out to potential customers, and i also spent a good amount of time on the hawaii video. i would be super awesome to have the hawaii dvd done by christmas, but that may be a little far-fetched.
as far as this week goes, i have three days of classes and then three days of exams. i really only have two exams to take and two presentations to make, all of which should be fairly simple. i’ll probably start packing up all my stuff to move out on saturday. it will be the last time i have to pack up and move out from chowan. hopefully this week will go by fairly quickly and i can get home. i can’t wait…matt
the chicken is back
Dec 1st
hay hay everybody, the chicken is back! this is a collage that i was able to assemble the other day. don’t worry, i wish i could say that i was enough of a genius to sit down and place all of those pictures, but i am techie enough to find a program to do it for me.
the collage doesn’t contain every single picture of the pwt from the summer 2005, but it includes well of 3/4 of the pictures and none of the pictures are repeated twice. i printed out a 8″ by 8″ copy of it yesterday and it looked pretty good. feel free to download it to your computer and maybe i can see what i can do about getting some printouts. let me know what you think…
